Safe Harvest moong dal is sourced from small, marginalised farmers who practice chemical pesticide-free farming and are part of our nationwide network of over 1 lakh women farmers committed to clean cultivation across India. Every batch is tested for 230+ pesticide residues in NABL-accredited third-party laboratories, with the full report publicly accessible by batch number via the QR code on every pack.

Yellow split moong dal, also known as dhuli moong, pesara pappu in Telugu, and hesaru bele in Kannada, is the lightest, most easily digestible dal in the Indian kitchen and one of the most nutritionally complete. High in plant protein and naturally low in carbohydrates, it is the dal of choice for anyone managing weight, blood sugar, or recovery nutrition. Its anti-inflammatory compounds and rich antioxidant content make it a staple in Ayurvedic medicine, recommended as the single most restorative food for gut health and convalescence. It cooks without soaking, is ready in under 20 minutes, and performs beautifully across a garlicky tadka, a light khichdi, a crispy chilla, or a rich moong dal halwa.

What is pesticide free farming?

Picture this: birds on tiny perches scanning crops like vigilant sky-patrols, sunshine-yellow marigold borders keeping the bad bugs away, and a spicy cocktail of neem, garlic, and chili, made by our women farmers, controlling pests with flair. No synthetic pesticides sneaking into your kitchen. Working with nature, not against her. This, in a nutshell, is pesticide-free farming.
